Field Service Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with passion about improving people’s lives. You will be responsible for installation, repair, and maintenance of our advanced particle accelerators at customer locations. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and professional in broad base of aspects of engineering and physics. A Field Service Engineer will work within a cross functional team that is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems at customer locations. You will need to train the customers to use equipment properly and safely. You will be expected to generate accurate reports with the appropriate level of detail. You will have the opportunity to propose system improvements and work with R&D to implement changes.

This is a direct hire opportunity with great benefits! Salary is $80-95k DOE plus OT and comp time. This is a first shift opportunity M-F. When not traveling to customer locations, you will be working remotely. The position will require domestic travel, over 50%, and the opportunity for international travel. Formal training for the position is provided, but qualified candidates must have an understanding of electronics (electromechanical), high vacuum and RF systems. All tools are provided. Qualified candidates must be able to train/shadow for the first 4-6 weeks. First 2 weeks of training is done remotely, but following 2-4 weeks will take place at training facilities (possibly overseas) and client locations.

What you need to succeed in this position?

5 years of related experience preferred
Field Service experience a big plus
Understanding of electronics
Understanding of High Vacuum and RF systems
Ability to conduct troubleshooting
Mechanical system repair and maintenance experience a plus
BS in Engineering or Technical field a plus
General Knowledge of Microsoft Office
