We have an opportunity for a BMS Field Service Engineer to join our Honeywell Building Solutions team working across Scotland.
Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) is a strategic business unit in Automation and Control Solutions (ACS). HBS installs and maintains the systems to help keep buildings and facilities safe, secure, comfortable, and cost-efficient, and is a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions worldwide. HBS specialises in service of critical building systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, fire, security, and energy management.
This role is field based supporting our clients across Scotland, carrying out installations, quoting works, supporting projects, undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM), attending re-active calls, and providing out of hours support.
BMS Field Service Engineer responsibilities
- Operate, Maintain and Interrogate Honeywell BMS Controllers & Field Control Systems
- Carry out commissioning of small automation and controls projects
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks and daily reactive calls in line with agreed Service Level Agreements
- Modify and Interrogate BMS Software programs, strategies, and systems
- Continually ensure all Energy Saving measures for all Building Services are monitored and modified accordingly
- Advise on small works quotes such as software enhancements / additional monitoring
- Work closely with Management to develop Life Cycle planning through Legacy upgrades
- Develop and maintain the excellent customer relations already achieved on site
- Undertake Out of Hours Works, as requested
- Ability to work unsupervised and well as being part of a large team supporting Scotland
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of operating and maintaining HVAC systems
- Previous experience within BMS
- Good undertsanding of software strategy
- Experience in protocols such as BACnet, M-Bus, Modbus
- Good Judgement and examples of logical problem solving
- Good financial awareness in the provision and completion of small work proposals
- Awareness of Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures necessary
- Ability and willingness to learn about new systems and operational procedures
- Proven Customer skills
- Network experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of the Honeywell / Tridium / Trend platform would be advantageous
- Full driving license
